Positive aspects of the product (pros):
|
sharp, good contrast, silent auto-focus, excellent low light lens, weather resistance is a big plus!

|
Cons:
|
minimum focus of approx. 17 inches could be better

Aside from a couple of professional reviews that have panned this lens, I have found in my experience, that it is one fine piece of glass! No fears in the rain or snow and so makes an excellent partner for the K-7. Also very sharp so it keeps up even further with the wonderful Pentax k-7.
Although I would love it if it focused closer for my flower shots, it is so sharp and produces DNG's so detailed that I can crop away and get the desired size I want! After all, it is not a macro lens!
It is, as expected, a fine portrait lens either with available light or in concert with flash!
To say that I am super happy with this lens is to seriously understate the case!;-)
Best to all
