Wonderful meter, good for pix by moonlight or starlight. Flash metering off the film. Mirror lockup, interchangeable screens, finders. A true system camera.

Cons:

The sticky mirror syndrome. No exposure lock! What were they thinking! Touchy shutter release with winder.

I have the LX and its winder, the pentaprism finder and the action finder. This camera is a joy to use; the AE yields consistent exposures, and with mirror lockup and exposure off the film it is ideal for macro work, since changing light is no concern. It is sad that Pentax did not develop it further to compete with Nikon beyond the F3. The LX has that wonderful feeling of rightness in the hand.
