Description: Easy to use flash that provides a large amount of light with a powerful guide number of 53/m (175/ft)
Would you like to broaden your world of photographic expression by manipulating light in a simple way. The EF-530 DG ST is an easy-to-use flash that provides a large amount of light, featuring a guide number of up to 53/m (174/ft) w/ISO 100. Compatible with AF single-lens reflex cameras of all popular manufacturers. this flash unit allows fully automatic photography with automatic TTL exposure control. In addition to the automatic mode, it also provides two power levels in manual mode: full and 1/16 power. This electronic flash combines a wide array of functions with ease of handling, and includes an Autozoom function that automatically sets the optimum illumination angle between 24mm and 105mm, as well as offering bounce and swivel capability.
Equipped with New TTL Auto Flash Exposure
Electronic Flash EF-530 DG ST can be used with Sigma’s and other manufacturers’ AF 35mm SLR cameras and Digital SLR cameras. This flashgun is designed to allow TTL auto flash photography with 35mm SLR cameras and Digital SLR cameras.
Autozoom function for changing the illumination angle in accordance with the lens’ angle of view
This function automatically sets the optimum illumination angle in accordance with the lens’ focal length in a range from 24 mm to 105 mm. When the built-in Wide Panel is used, the flash can cover the angle of up to that of a 17mm lens. Due to the smaller size of image sensors in most digital SLR cameras, the coverage angle of the flash can effectively reach a wider coverage angle.
Bounce-flash function with movable flash head
The flash head can be tilted up by upto 90 , to the left by 180 , or to the right by 90 . Bounce photography, in which light is reflected off a white wall or the ceiling or a reflector, increases your range of photographic expression. As the flash head can also be tilted down by 7 , light can also be used for close-up shots.
Manual Switching of the amount of light
In manual flash mode, you can set the flash power level of the EF-530 DG ST with two levels : Full power and 1/16.
AF auxiliary light is very convenient for photography in a dark place
AF may not work appropriately in a dark place. However, the AF auxiliary light mechanism of EF-530 DG ST lets you control AF even in situations where autofocusing is difficult. (With some cameras, AF auxiliary light may not work, please refer to a compatibility table)
Auto Power-Off function prevents wasted power
Even if the flash is left with the power on, it automatically shuts off, if it is not operated for a certain length of time. This conserves battery power in flash photography. When the shutter button is depressed halfway, the power turns on again, and charging resumes.
