It's a bit of gummy urethane on a stick with some plastic coated paper sheets. So in one way, the price is in the upper stratosphere. On the other hand, it's cheaper to buy this than pay someone else to clean your sensor. Plus it works; however I would only recommend it to someone with steady hands and a light touch.
The instruction book is very detailed and by following directions exactly, I successfully removed 100% of the dust from the sensors of my K10d and K-7.

Edit:
I originally rated this a 9, however since cleaning my sensors with this, I have not had any dust appear on my sensors AT ALL in 6 months. It must have reduced the static charge of the sensor as well as cleaning it. I'm changing this to 10.

Handy when shooting at night-time or with a tripod - just that little bit quicker to make your shot level. Yes, I know there's a electronic level in the K-7, but this is more convenient as it lets you line things up without taking your eye off the subject and you can keep the EV+/- meter as default in the viewfinder.

Don't try changing your viewfinder matte without first putting on some surgical gloves - even when using the tweezers, the risk of accidentally touching it is too high! You cannot safely clean one if you get a fingerprint on it. Only use a blower to remove dust. Don't attempt this procedure at all if you have shaky hands or bad eyesight.

I liked my first one so much, I bought a second (small) one to keep in my camera bag.
Cleans the sensor without any risk of damage.
Big one is more powerful, but the small one still removes dust from the sensor effectively.

Lets me put the AF360 on a tripod. Cable is not required, as can trigger the flash remotely. Price was a bit steep.

It's amazing how well this performs optically considering how small and thin the camera is. In your top shirt pocket, you forget it's there. The videos from it are pretty good and it can film under poor lighting. Auto-focusing is spot on and the face recognition works.
Let down by being really slow to process files if you have the pixel tracking shake reduction turned on. This means you can only shoot one shot, wait, then shoot the next.
I have a metallic red one, which looks better IMHO than that colours in the photos above.
You could pack this in your camera bag rather than a normal lens. It's smaller and lighter. That would leave the telephoto on your SLR and reduce lens swapping.

Compact size. Can be forced to produce decent enough photos. Tends to hunt when focusing on the K10d. Fair old bit of the barrel distortion at the wide end.
I replaced this with a faster lens with a less ambitious zoom range. The Pentax 18-55II is a much better choice, if you're in the market for a budget lens.

I only rated it a "10" because "11" wasn't an available option.

All the little 'foibles' that existed on the K10d and K20d were systematically eradicated from this camera. This will auto-focus in complete darkness, isn't confused by tungsten light and the shutter operation is very quiet. I love the top LCD display and the dedicated buttons for exposure compensation and especially ISO. Add the little spirit level display to the mix and I'm in heaven! [Live-view and movie mode are there to meet marketing requirements, I ignore them.] Still needs a learning curve, but I say, just jump in at the deep end.
It's even better made than the already excellent K10d.
Now, if only I had an interesting subject to shoot....

Very high build quality is it's number one feature. Feels right.

A camera that was at the top of it's class when released. I had used Canons previously, but this was the camera that made me interested in photography and made me an official Pentax nut.

Has a fairly steep learning curve - you can't just hand it to someone at a tourist site and expect them to take your photo for you.
Auto-focusing problems can be avoided with the use of a fast (2.8 or better) lens, but the accuracy is no good under tungsten light. Still a joy to use outdoors, where below IS0800 it's images are very good. ISO1600 is really noisy, but not in a bad way, it's got a graininess that can work well in certain styles.

I have a feeling this camera single-handedly saved Pentax from the fate of Minolta.

Don't let the slow max. aperture fool you. This is a very good lens that produces good contrast and sharpness from wide open, therefore it can be used at 300mm without the need to stop down, unlike other small telephoto lenses.
At 55mm it seems to be about 90% as sharp as the FA50 (read that as a compliment), but with a slower aperture.
Not bad for birding, even bird in flight shots, because it's small size and light weight improve handling. No SDM focusing, unfortunately, but as with other Pentax DA lenses, the ability to manual focus while in AF mode is a great help.
Nice round bokeh is a pleasant bonus.
Only improvement that I would like, would be weather sealing or at least weather resistance. Hopefully they bring out a WR version soon. Having said that, I have used it in a heavy downpour to get dolphin photos and it was not harmed.
