Along came a spider.

Hello, During my recent outings with the ringflash I happened upon a series of events that was truly a pleasure to witness. I hadn't had the flash out much and what I captured those two days make me realize that I really like the wonderful world of macro. We only have to look to find these wonders of nature.
Here is Mr. Fly. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he does serve a purpose. Not much to look at and can be a pest at times. I had the chance to meet him and he was kind enough to let me take his picture.

Shortly after meeting Mr. Fly I ran across Mr. C. Spider. He was hungry and Mr. Fly was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He didn't see it coming at all. Mr. C. Spider struck without warning.

C&C always welcome. Thanks for looking.

Craig,
Very nice images - you seem to be having fun with the ring flash.
I still use the Vivitar 6000 ring flash which although I have to set it on manual produces a nice even light.

Nice series of the evolution chain Craig. I only photograph spiders that are big enough for me to shoot without needing a macro lens...LoL

Thank you very much, Roy. Yes, you are correct. Mr. "C" as in "crab" Spider. Just trying to have a little fun here. I'll try and refrain from being silly like this in the future. It was a bit too much.
Thanks for looking.
