I received yesterday a Pentax DA 15/4 Limited and could take my first test shots with it today. All the photos here have just been converted with Silkypix, and nothing more.

First a few bokeh test shots. The focus point is not always spot on here, the wind was not helping, but for bokeh, that should not be too bad.

Dominique,   These photos are looking very good.  Much better than the other samples I've seen with this new Limited.  I'm curious to hear what you have to say about this new lens after you have put it through the paces.

Dominique,

This lens looks very impressive - very good bokeh.

Thanks for posting.

Indeed.  Great results,  Dominique.
I just hope this doesn't indicate another Pentax lens with (serious) sample variation.

Those shots look very good indeed! Did you correct CA in SilkyPix?

Thank you all for the comments.

Prieni: yes, I did apply the CA correction in Silkypix.

Here is a second series with this DA 15

I like this little lens more and more. I could well think about leaving the DA*16-50 at home on the next travel and take this DA15 and the FA31 instead.

Dominique,   Anothere fine series you have posted here.  Can you tell us how much the lens cost?  Do you have any experience with the DA 14mm 2.8?  If so, how does the DA 15 Limited compare?  I know the 14mm is a much bigger lens.  Just looking for opinions.  You have shown us that the Limited yields very nice results.  Thank you.

Thank you Craig.

I paid a around EUR 580 for the lens.

I will compare the lens to the DA14 and the Sigma 10-20, but I first wanted to know how this lens performs on its own. I do hope for better weather, especially better far distance visibility to make the comparison. So far, I would say this DA15 shows the best flare resistance of all three lenses. In regards of size, the DA15 is clearly the winner. Now, in regards of sharpness, I will have to make direct comparison shots.

Thank you for the comments.

I went out this late afternoon, trying out the combo K-m + DA15:

I have to say, the small K-m combined with the small DA15 makes in a great combo, a small, compact and lightweight combo, with excellent balance.

Once again Dominique you have shown us the way with a new lens. Beautiful color rendition probably helped by the lack of flare. Thanks for acting as point man. Of course my LBA is starting to act up again. Cool
