If it is a K mount it will fit. One thing to watch out for is clearance. Some lenses require some space to enter into the camera body and a teleconverter may not allow this - can even cause some damage if the rear lens element where to hit or rub against your teleconverter. I know that my Sigma 135-400mm Zoom is such a lens. But generally there should not be a problem. Just check first (if it is a zoom make sure you observe it through its full range).
I have a Soligor 2x teleconverter w/ the internal lens removal option to turn it into an extension tube. I have not used it as a teleconverter in over 20 years, but have used it as an additional extension tube when I am going long & deep and looking for a Hail Mary. ("long" being the extension tube length).

Would enjoy seeing what kind of results you get from the Vivitar Teleconverter (my brother inlaw has a Vivitar 3x Teleconverter - he says that it seems to lose about 100 stops....... or maybe he just keeps forgetting to remove the lens cap)  Grin Grin Grin Grin
